    Re: No one's read Firestarter?

I just re-read it this year and it stands up well to the test of time except for any and all mentions of people interfacing with computers. Of course this book was written when personal computers...

    Re: No one's read Firestarter?

The more Fringe develops as a show, the more it reminds me of a cross between The Dark Tower & Firestarter.

    Re: Robert R McCammon

Wow! This is a really great thread. So many good recommendations of stuff to read. I'm definitely going to "mine" it for other titles once I finish Swan Song.

    Re: Robert McCammon

Thanks! I actually wrote this post without first doing due diligence and researching to see if there was a thread for McCammon. Thankfully a mod caught my error and posted it here (thanks mod).

Has anyone around here read Robert McCammon? I've recently started reading Swan Song and I have to say it is friggin' awesome. This is my first foray into McCammon's stuff, but I'm diggin' it so far.

    Re: No one's read Firestarter?

I haven't read it since high school, and even then it was one of my early forays into the King Universe. So I'd like to revisit it now, in retrospect, after reading The Dark Tower series, and a few...

Re: Your latest Stephen King related purchase...

My most recent was American Nightmares # 5. I'm following the series faithfully, and even though I've already read the source material twice.
Next up will probably be the next story arc of comic in...

    Re: Scariest Stephen King book?

The one that freaked me out the most, or (shall I say?) scared me was Desperation. I've never felt so spooked during a reading of a novel.
