Definitely the book wins on this one the movie didnt seem to do justice to the novel at all
i really wasnt a big fan of this book but i agree it had excellent character development

The head i feel is right in the basic idea of his theory its the single driving force yet it is strengthened and limited by others aspects of humans ie. compassion understanding etc

I agree you can read them in either order its just as good but i wouldnt recommend reading just one of them its much better if you read both. A warning Black House starts slow
I figured that he got sick from infection cause the version i read mentioned many cuts and wounds but never mentioned anyone treating them but i guess pneumonia makes more sense
Its a great song and you should definitely read the book first some of the characters are portrayed a little differently and manynparts that i feel were key parts were left out of the miniseries
i definitely agree with triggerhappy it sounds as if the virus had been planned as biochemical warfare and i wouldnt be surprised if there were spies in the other countries its a clever thing slid...
