I thought the LOTR trilogy were better movies than the book. The books could have used an editor--and that's what the movies did; stayed true to the story and the characters without the long lulls.

Just watched Gangster Squad. I thought it was a nice throwback gesture to the old James Cagney style mob movies. It also smacked of The Untouchables (but with more attractive actors). I was...
I know. :( I'm weak.
Hullo!
I looked about a bit and couldn't find the answer to my question. Will I ever get to post without the posts being moderated first? Having fun here already!
That doesn't rain on my parade at all. There wasn't a "parade" to rain on. Obviously I don't honestly believe the coincidence was more than just that, but to a Stephen King fan, it just makes you...
Ha! Me likey.
Well Stephen King had Sneeches (sp) in the Wolves of Calla....right?
I voted not to read that book a long time ago. I started my love for Stephen King back when I read The Shining when I was 16. I began sneaking books from my mother's library. She saw that I grabbed...
I last watched The Hobbit for the second time. This time in 3D. Watching the LOTR trilogy or the Hobbit, is like Stephen King novels--they're like being "home"
I thought "Happy Holidays" was an inclusive way of of wishing someone a Merry Christmas and a New Year?
Have any of you read through the comic series of the Walking Dead or are you watching it fresh like me? :D
Downton Abbey is by far one of the most addicting, worthwhile TV shows I have ever watched and I'm excited for Sunday!
Sometimes, randomly, the words "Blood Bool" will pop into my head.
Ha! I hated being a tall teenager but I love it now; took a long time for the boys to catch up, but they finally did.
mmm...I hoping to stumble into one some day!
I refuse to read Cujo.
I wouldn't start with Under the Dome, The Regulators or Hearts in Atlantis. The best book to start with is The Shining, Salem's Lot or Carrie.
in the book 11/22/63 a character's name is Sadie (mine too) and she's 6 feet tall (me too) and a significant event in the book was my birthday, May 29th. How's that for ka-incident? ;)
I read 11/22/63, Full Dark, No Stars, IT, Wind Through the Keyhole and now I'm reading Pet Sematary.
My friend bought the Shining with the old dust jacket on it and I wanted it so bad, she just gave it to me today. Good friend. ;)
IT, is SK scariest novel in my humble opinion.
I'm reading Pet Sematary. Again.
YES! Good call!
As a big time Stephen King fan, I was delighted that this novel had a character named Sadie (my name) and that she was six feet tall (so am I). Also, something significant in the story happened on...
I feel like the Dark Tower Series has always been there with me. I first read the Gunslinger when I was 16 and waited patiently for new books in the series to even be written and released. Now that...
