Always the novel for me, although I've loved the Christine movie since I was a kid. Nothing beats the novel though, I think if you can create your own visuals for the story it makes it so much...

Being a longtime SK reader, who still hasn't managed to get right through the first DT book :down:, I would recommend The Green Mile, Salems Lot, Christine or the Shining for first time readers....

Brilliantly said, and the beautiful thing about this book is that it tugs at all the different heartstrings in every emotion! (Often simultaneously!) I personally found both times they forgot each...
