Re: Mr. King is Riding on his name.

Maybe you should be more upset at whomever held the gun to your head and made you read it even though you didn't like it. Wait, no one did? Hmm, well then you should only be mad at yourself.

  2. Re: Who would you want to star as Dale Barbara in the movie?

Re: I'm sad because of this story.....

It is Stephen and he does a fantastic job of reading it. I listened to it in my jeep and found myself finding excuses to drive around and taking longer routes to get places just to listen.

    Re: How influential was Christine?

I liked Christine, but do not like NASCAR. I have a Harley which is a nice compliment to the hybrid I have for days the bike is not practical. I mow my lawn every week and just repainted my house...

I have to strongly disagree mrsbreece.
while Christine may not have been as "deep" as some of King's othe works, it was hugely influential. Basically, a straight ahead horror story, references to it...

    Sticky: Re: Website Suggestions

How about a section devoted to the audiobook versions of SK's stuff? I am a big fan of the audiobooks and have noticed several discussions about them.

    Re: How influential was Christine?

You'll have a hard time doing that. You don't see too many '57 Plymouth Furies (Furys?) on the road these days. But, you're welcome to come on "across the pond" and try. We'll welcome your visit. :)

Re: Stand By Me --great flick

Loved the movie. It's one of those that you can watch over and over. Luckily, it's always on cable, so there's lots of opportunity to do so. I was just traveling in OR and got to see a couple of the...
