  2. Re: franny. anyone but molly ringwald. please.

I thought Frannie had long blonde hair? I imagined her a bit like Gweneth Paltrow!

I thought Larry Stu and Nadine were perfect - Tom and Nick also - all in all it was a good series and stayed as...

Re: The Stand and The Walking Dead

I do sort of get what you mean, and its quite logical considering its Frank Darabont who was involved in the Walking Dead.

The only real "Stand Vibe" I get is the "end of days" scenario and also...

    Re: The Stand/Swan Song

I cant disagree with that dsurrett.

What set me off was reading reviews on Amazon - some folk were saying SK copied RMcC - they were both good books but like yourself I couldnt put the Stand down...

Wow! Got to say I was totally blown away by this book. I read it on holiday sitting in the sun and even then got the screamin' heebie jeebies as the subject matter was so dark!

    That...

    Re: Finally saw this.

I absolutely loved the book, but found the movie disappointing - I suppose because so much of the detail you get in the book was missing, which is inevitable in a way. But when you see what a...

Re: if you lived on little tall island..

I know what you are saying, but was there "really" an alternative - at the end I felt that perhaps Linoge was a huge con man - not saying he wasnt really evil - but what if the town had "called his...
  13. Re: Who would you want to star as Dale Barbara in the movie?

Thanks Terry - his physical appearance and the way he acted in that series made me think he would be perfect!
  14. Re: Who would you want to star as Dale Barbara in the movie?

Right just googled him - the series is called "The Beast" starring Patrick Swayze in his last role. The actor I remembered is his partner and his real name is Travis Fimmel.

    A rookie actor...
  15. Re: Who would you want to star as Dale Barbara in the movie?

Re: Stand By Me --great flick

This is one of my favourite EVER movies!

(as you would guess due to my username)

It was very true to the novella - the characters were so well drawn.........and the poignant scene when Chris...
  17. Re: Just After Sunset. What do you guys think of it

I loved this book - and I have to agree with the other poster who said it was a breath of fresh air after Liseys Story.

Especially loved the Gingerbread Girl - which I think could have been...

  19. Re: stephen king book you would like to see made into a movie

I would absolutely LOVE to see the Talisman on screen - followed by its sequel Black House.

But then my imagination has ran riot with the characters and I might be disappointed at seeing "Wolf" on...

Re: whats the latest movie you have watched?

Went to see "the boat that Rocked" the other day!

Made by the same director as "Love Actually" - I would recommend it if only for the music - a very lighthearted film and a bit rude in parts!

  21. Re: What's your favorite horror movie and what's the scariest movie scene you ever sa

I found the Ring very disturbing - when she opened the cupboard door and the girl was inside who had died of fright I just didnt want her to open that door!

Plus I must have been the only person...
