Cool thread, but I wouldn't want to live forever.
To see my children pass on and their children pass on... not to mention friends passing on... that would be hell on earth for me. Sure, it would...
Boston Pizza's THE BRUTE. Killer sandwich, but it gives me the meat sweats.
I'll likely get to The Stand next year. The Force is telling me to give 11/22/63 a chew first... once I get The Tommyknockers behind me, that is.
Technology has empowered as many people as it has rendered lazy. It's all up to how you use it in your life.
Coffee
Green Tea
Water
Canadian beer
I don't drink pop or hard liquor.
I consider myself to be a big SK fan, just not a Die-Hard. Haven't read The Stand or It, plus about ten others. I finish about two SK books a year, and that suits me well. I'm hardcore in buying...
I loved that finish! It brought me great joy to see the Maple Leafs fold like a cheap tent. Now that Toronto and Washington are out of the race for the Stanley Cup... I'm good with anyone winning,...
I hear you. Had one of those "had my fill of SK" moments, too... right after I finished Hearts In Atlantis. Went without SK for a few years, and discovered the magic of Dean Koontz during that time.
It's taking a while to get through this book - hardly any energy at the end of the day to put two or three pages at a time behind me.
But I had a chuckle last night while reading... I've often...
I got it for $4 at a garage sale. Dust jacket has one little wear-mark at the bottom back cover, but it's in great condition. The book itself is decent too.
That IS sweet!
Happy today because I'm getting lots done at work right now. ;))
Grade 7 classmate came in one morning and WOULD NOT STOP going on about Stephen King this and Stephen King that. I had no idea what a Stephen King even was, so we followed him to the school's library...
Old hardcover of Danse Macabre. Was looking for one for quite a while.
I'd be interested in knowing how Stephen arrived at the name Jud Crandall. The name just seems to fit the character.
That's how it happened for me, too. Was disappointed in Hearts In Atlantis (probably more my doing than the book's) and found Bag Of Bones to be more enjoyable.
Thanks! The show was great, completely sold out, every song brought back a memory!
Happy Mothers Day!!!
Bob Seger concert tonight! Can't wait, should be a great show!
We have the same problem here in Edmonton. The owner of the Oilers (our NHL hockey team) and the city are squabbling over who's going to pay the remaining 100 Million to make the new arena happen....
Saw the trailer at the beginning of the new Evil Dead remake/reboot. Looked *okay*, but I'm not sure I'd go see it. Looks too glossy. From what I saw... CGI is going to kill the prom scenes, I can...
My wife and I had a goat when we lived on an acreage. Cute, but very combative little fella. He came with the name Sebastian, but after a while we started calling him Sebastard.
Can you and your sister just be quiet for ten minutes? It doesn't mean I don't like you guys, it just means right now I like silence more.
Spoilers are the work of the devil.
Picked up the two-CD Mile 81 package.
