I have to admit, that was a hot rebuttal!!
Ha! Ha! Brilliant byline!
Thanks for the great response! I love the old shows. Ever watch the older 60s show The Outer Limits or its newer 1990s counterpart?
Just me spouting off again, a spiel about a snug little house tucked away on Maple Street. Three children live there, along with their mother and, of course, that nastybad professor who loves the...
"Keep thinking: cold roast beef...cold roast beef...." Brrr!!
Just sounds like Pug's cool way of saying "It's a happening thing!"
Now THAT'S Eventual!!
And it is definitely worth the time to track down a copy of this one. Especially since it contains You Know They've Got a Hell of a Band!
I agree with Kaushalsingh; create your characters in such a way that they appear real. It seems that it's the characters that make the story. Look what Stephen King did with "The Raft." He took a...
I heartily agree.
While we're on the subject, and with no offense to Stephen King, I heartily recommend reading the scary novel "Let's Go Play at the Adams'" by Mendal W. Johnson. If you can stomach it and if you can...
All I have to say on this topic is that Stephen King wrote a darn good story here. He took a basic concept like revenge for a murdered wife and interweaved all the essential threads to make the story...
I am adding a small note to the discussion since we're talking about scary dolls and monkeys here. If you get a chance, order Night Gallery Season One on dvd from Amazon or somewhere or borrow it...
How many of you are aware that when Stephen King's novel Carrie was accepted for publication he had to be notified by telegram because he'd had the telephone removed to cut household expenses? Or...

It's a good thing they were driving a Mercedes-Benz into the town. The horror would have been complete if they'd arrived in a 1958 Plymouth Fury...
Take it from me, Christine is an excellent first book to delve into. It will keep you entertained for a week. I may be biased, though, as I am an ASE-certified Master Auto Technician at my day job. I...
I agree. The novel is fantastic! I don't know how many months Stephen King spent researching old car songs, but he did his homework. Christine shines from the beginning when Arnie and Dennis discover...
The Monkey: a furball of evil, complete with clanging cymbals. Amazing little clockwork monkey, found in a closet. Aren't dolls scary anyway? The way they seem to stare at you from across the room?...
Come on! Here There Be Tygers is a classic! Who doesn't remember Miss Bird from their own elementary school?
Ms. Mod:
I apologize for spreading it on so thick! I did get a tad overenthusiastic, but I love to write and Everything's Eventual really is a great collection!

I couldn't resist commenting on Everything's Eventual, one of many Stephen King collections I own. Thinking of camping out in room 1408? Heed Mr. Olin's warning and don't do it! Mike Enslin, the...
I'm 49, and still have a copy! Great reading, huh?
I agree. Salem's Lot is also one of my favorite Stephen King short stories. Who can forget when Stephen King conjures an image in your mind of the cold, desolate snowy night by describing the wind...
