Libraries and Stephen King Ebooks
I am a long time fan and reader of Mr. King's works. I am also a librarian responsible for developing our collection of ebooks available for loan to patrons It is incredibly frustrating the titles now published in ebook format only can not be purchased by libraries for use by our patrons. I know that the STK Foundation is a strong supporter of libraries and has awarded funds to school libraries in Maine to purchase Nook ebook readers but is the foundation aware that those libraries are prevented from purchasing ebooks for loan for students because policies set by the major publishers?
Of course this isn't something one author can change but I hope that Stephen King is urging his publisher to change its policies so that public and school libraries can purchase Stephen King ebooks that they can then loan to their patrons just as they have been able to purchase and loan hard copy books.

It's a conversation he's had with his publisher but ultimately their policies are not something he has control over. He understands and sympathizes with your concerns.
