LENNON: The Man, the Myth, the Music -- The Definitive Life by some idiot named Tim Riley. It is obvious that Riley probably wasn't even born when Lennon was murdered, judging from some of the things he says. He has the facts right (judging from the footnotes, he's read a lot of the factual material already out there), but his some of his analysis of Lennon's body of work both solo and with The Beatles is decidedly ridiculous-sounding.
Advice to all -- Avoid this book like the plague.

And thank you, as well, Ms. Mod. It's always a pleasure to get a bit of an idea of what SK's reading, and his thoughts on them. He's almost always spot-on, IMO!
I think I'll be steering clear of 50 Shades of Grey, though..

In an effort to be more "refined" in my reading, I am working on "Henry VIII: A King and his Court" by Alison Weir.
At the same time, I am reading the Mortal Instruments trilogy. :blush:

I actually read it because my friend told me to read "Shades of Grey." Then my sister told me to read "Fifty Shades of Grey" and I thought they were the same thing. They are definitely not!!! "Fifty" is just porn, which makes me blush! "Shades of Grey," by Jasper Fforde, was an amazing and entertaining "the world has moved on" kind of novel. I highly recommend the Fforde novel!
Just finished "Under The Dome", a good read. I read the Gunslinger many years ago when it first came out, and never tried any of the other Dark Tower books; but after the encourgement I found on SKMB, I have started Gunslinger again, but on audio, so I can get some other things done while listening.
