I love Liam Neeson. Not ugly and could do a great job as Roland. I loved him as Hannibal Smith in the A Team.

Dont see him as Roland, though.

Funny thing; I was watching Schindler's List a few nights ago, first I've seen it since the late nineties or so, and God help me, I cried like a little girl at the end! Sheesh...I'm getting mushy in my later years.

(but yeh i have to admit was aspine chiller muskie)

I've been reading the forum and in my opinion, I feel that Daniel Craig would be a much better pick for Roland. He has those piercing blue eyes and rugged look...

A I mentioned in another post, I would actually prefer a no-name actor. And please, for the love of all things holy, keep Roland's eyes BLUE. I think I would fall flat on my face, if the opening shot was a Roland with brown eyes (or any other color for that matter) O.o

That's a good idea! I always picture Clint Estwod, when he was younger, but he would make a really good Cort!

Honestly, I think Javier could really pull off Roland Deschain. I mean, just take a look at him in his recent film "Buitiful", look at how long his hair is and how intense he seems in his still shots, the man is tall and is in shape, and to me he marks the key features that would be needed to hold fans into a man who has a long, unsettling past of horrors, murder, and trials beyond compare...Hopefully, Javier Bardem will take the part of Roland, and also these movies had better be rated R because the books were not written to be, in my opinon, a damn PG-13 movie script-post.
