I tried really hard to get into the books, but just couldn't enjoy them. I did watch the original movies--subtitled--and found them much easier to connect with than Larsson's written word. I guess as a writer he didn't work for me, but the overall concept of the books was brilliant. I'm looking forward to watching the American version of the movie, I've heard good reviews so have high expectations.

Last night I watched "New Years Eve." Not really my type of movie but it was passable. My friend is very "sentimental" and she enjoyed it so for all you sappy people out there I'm sure it's a winner! I also watched "Quarantine 2" last night...now that I enjoyed!

Personally I would score it higher than what it's averaged on IMDB, but we all have different tastes. It's an Australian movie based on the true story of the disappearance of 15-year old Rachel Barber in 1999. A very slow, but hard hitting movie, with amazing performances by all the actors. There's nothing more frightening than the evil that can reside within seemingly ordinary people, and it's even scarier when we consider them friends.

Watched Funny People on TV last night, starring Adam Sandler and Seth Rogen. It was very good, with unusual twists. I really appreciate Sandler's choice of roles. I think he makes exceptional movies. Maybe not the first ones, but that seems to happen to comedians breaking into movies.

Over the last couple of weeks I watched Thor, Final Destination 5, and Dream a Little Dream. Thor was a pretty interesting movie, but FD 5 was just a a lot of gore...so it was kind of boring. Dream a Little Dream is hilarious!

In the past week I watched "LAKE HOUSE" with my wife and two children and "PREMONITION". I am just about to watch "WHAT LIES BENEATH"

"Bad Teacher". Yeah, I know, it's kind of a chick flick. It made me laugh, though, and I thought it was cute.

Took the boys to see the new Mission Impossible movie. Very enjoyable, but I was a fan of the TV version so it is a given that I would enjoy the movie versions which are much more action packed.
