As you know I "read" about 80% of my book on audiobook. I see there is no audiobook of the Dead Zone on Audible or iTunes.
Is there an audiobook? If not plans on a release? Any info would help.
Thanks,
matt

I'd thought perhaps we'd inadvertently missed posting a Dead Zone audio, but I haven't been able to find any information about there ever having been one recorded. At the time it was published, it wasn't SOP to also do an audio version and many of the older books still haven't been recorded which has more to do with a publisher's decision for whatever the reason. Sometimes they'll have been made available as a recording for the visually impaired but aren't sold as a mass market release.

A big negative that takes me completely out of the story every time is her portrayal of Dr. Weizak. He's a Polish guy but she sounds like a cross between Dracula and Natasha from Rocky and Bullwinkle. Instead of being able to enjoy the story I end up laughing and making fun of her reading. lol
listened to it myself a while back- prefer FRANK MULLER.
That's not a legitimate recording--it's been read by someone who was not authorized to do so and is violating Stephen's copyright by distributing copies through a fileshare site.
...just an idea...

where their is demand I s'pose. you tube is to blame I say.
Have you tried recording yourself reading a book. I tried to do one- honest, I broke it down into 40 second segments- and recorded about 100 pages of scribbles i had written,so I could listen to it in the car for continuity.
HAHAHAHA- its terrible! I tried doing the voices and everything , but got confused - And all my characters started sounding like characters from Guy ritchie films. GEEZERS GOT A SHOOTA!
so who is at wrong here?
Lorelei King? I cannot see the book in her audio list- did she do it at gunpoint ya reckon?
is their a family connection?
No connection, familial or otherwise. Lorelei King is violating Stephen's copyright by distributing her recorded version of his book. There would have been no issue had she done it for her own personal use but when she distributed it, she crossed the line. Whenever we are made aware of pirated copies, we take action to have them removed.
