The only thing that would have been a bigger shock is if the main character had died.

Came as a shock to me too. She was such a likeable character. SK does go for shocks and surprises, and this one worked.

i was sad when alice died , she was a cute , strong and kind character, she tried to help that jerk who killed her . I thought she would survive till the end of the story but she wouldn't , what a pity ! :(
