Wow. What another great album. Lovesong and Lullaby are two personal favorites. I just love how he captures the real essence of really loving someone and his fear of a monster he once feared as a child. That monster being real abuse. I swear Robert Smith has to be one of the best musicians ever. He can be gloom and doom, Casa nova, Fun and Funny, etc. What can I say? I LOVE THE CURE! As big of a fan as I am on them, this album (I thought would be my favorite) isn't as good as I expected. I mean yes Idioteque is AMAZING and my favorite song by them (possibly my favorite song ever) but the other stuff just feels like it doesn't really fit. Idioteque had that comfortable to be uncomfortable feeling. Like you know you are in grave danger but you enjoy feeling the absence of safety. It's like an fetish in a way. Enjoyable pain. One good was that I have made friends again with my best friend. (good) another is my uncle may be moving to Arizona. (bad) But anyways getting to why I started this discussion in the first place. While lying in bed restless and not able to sleep, I had suddenly remembered a certain fellow I had, had a bad run in with back in high school. His name was Greg. Every day my sophomore year we would butt heads and argue. Why? I am still trying to figure that out. But I decided to look him up on Facebook and see if we could settle our differences. So, I had found him and I sent him a good, long apologetic message. It took him a good while to remember me. First he kept saying, man I don't know you. I have no clue what you're talking about. But then, he decided to look at my pictures. Upon this he replied, Yeah I remember you. Yeah, we're cool, man. Add me. This made me realize that I was wrong about people. This was truly EYE OPENING to me. To see this Kid who had such a bad life and have someone at school just to end with more conflict forgive them, made me see that somewhere deep down, he had a good heart. I have yet to have him accept my friend request (not sure why) but knowing we're on agreeing circumstances, makes me happy. It helps to know I can bury those demons of my past. I can put those ghosts to sleep. I now await the Biggest challenge of my life now. In 3 hours I will be going to go take my C.N.A. test. I only have to take the written part but I am still DEAD afraid. This is my 3rd and last chance to pass this. If I fail, then I will have to repeat the WHOLE course. My best friend had told me, for his birthday he wants me to pass my test. His birthday was 2 days ago. He and his fiancé are having really bad financial problems, and currently out of town. I need to pass this test so I can help them. So I can help myself. So I can have a life outside of this house. So if you will, I ask for prayers from everyone here. I think I will start. First of all, I would do everything that I so much like doing, like reading, watching good movie and so on. I would also try to learn new things, new languages, as I like the process of learning. Then, I would try and find a way to help people... do not know how yet, but I would like to be useful to this world... Well naturally we grow up and what happens? I now can count all my friends on 2 fingers. Why is this you may ask? Well, I will tell you in my opinion. Over the last 20 years we humans have learned to communicate with others through technology. In my eyes this is the 1st stage of the disintegration of the human race coming together as one. The 1st going back to the beginning of time when Lucifer fell from heaven and his followers went with him. (if you believe this way) Ever since technology has came into this picture it has only made it worst. For example I go out and see someone wearing a Radiohead shirt. I go up to them and say "Man I love your shirt." Their reaction "......Uh thanks." I leave, blushed and feeling like an idiot. Why? Probably because I wasn't his facebook friend. I was talking to a man who is 10 years apart from me and he said he could fill 3 phones with friends, people he actually talked to. Yes. 3. Now that the technological world has become so enhanced, (and crime so out of control) we humans have became more cautious and afraid to even shake hands with someone. It is truly frightening to the older generation to see this come to this. Speaking or radiohead, I sometimes feel like their song How to disappear completely. "I'm not here. This isn't happening." I want to believe the world hasn't came to this yet but IT HAS. You just want to disappear completely. You want to find that world wear the water flows of such purity and lands so green and lush. Where people come together as one and communicate without worrying about getting a knife to the back. Where a man can have a wife without worrying her cheating on him. Where a woman can have a man without worrying about him having an affair or abusing her or his children. Where children can go to school without worrying about being bullied through internet accounts or worried about being shot or them being the ones behind the gun. Where people like me can go and have fun and hang out with people without worrying if they think I'm a creep. Technology has became so advanced that we depend on it to build our very living foundation on it. To thrive and live and communicate we must surrender ourself to the machines of man. It is like de-evolution. We created these machines. They run our lives. We are simply slaves to a living machine of tech life. It is very scary to think of this but it is happening now. So I guess what I am asking is why? Why can't we go out and meet someone and have simple conversations with them and maintain friendships without a keyboard? Why can't we meet mr right without looking at a computer screen? Artwork for Thinner will be done by Les Edwards and artwork for Crew will be done by Stephen R. Bissette. Doesn't look like they are taking orders as of yet. There's something about The Mist, but it doesn't quite state that there's going to be another limited edition of this title. There is also a first look at one of the illustrations for Pet Semetary, which looks awesome! If you're not on their mailing list yet, you'd better get on board now as the print runs are in the low hundreds for these titles!
