S.K. has 11'ty billion fans all over the world
But inside of this group, there is another smaller group
of HARDCORE fans. I have heard it said, many times
in many different forums, that this hardcore subset
prefer It and The Stand to all other S.K. books .
(next favorite is the DT. series)

They say the 'real' fans love those two books the most.
where 'lesser'' fans like other works.

I know this is true for me, Im wondering if the rest
of you feel the same way.

To anyone who is a fan of George Orwell such as myself has anyone noticed how he is somewhat of a philosopher? Seriously. Look at my post titled Low tech to get an idea. Recently an group known as agenda 21 has became active. One of their acts are to "terminate" the elder to make room for the new humans being born. It was predicted that 300 years from now the world will be overpopulated and there will not be enough food or water to provide every being on earth. We all live on the web now. We are fed what media tells us. There is even a rumor going around that the government will be planting "bugs" into televisons and phones. I know I sound like some creepy dude in a tin foil hat but honestly. Look at what is going on in the world right now. ANYTHING is possible. Take sopa for example. They were trying to control what we see and hear. I am not one for liberal acts (I am not political at all) but things are getting worst. I am not trying to scare anyone or want anyone to think I am crazy I just found this to be interesting.

HELLO everyone. Dave here and I have a VERY interesting topic here for everyone today. While growing up I had MANY friends. SO many I needed 5 hands to keep a count on them. Well naturally we grow up and what happens? I now can count all my friends on 2 fingers. Why is this you may ask? Well, I will tell you in my opinion. Over the last 20 years we humans have learned to communicate with others through technology. In my eyes this is the 1st stage of the disintegration of the human race coming together as one. The 1st going back to the beginning of time when Lucifer fell from heaven and his followers went with him. (if you believe this way) Ever since technology has came into this picture it has only made it worst. For example I go out and see someone wearing a Radiohead shirt. I go up to them and say "Man I love your shirt." Their reaction "......Uh thanks." I leave, blushed and feeling like an idiot. Why? Probably because I wasn't his facebook friend. I was talking to a man who is 10 years apart from me and he said he could fill 3 phones with friends, people he actually talked to. Yes. 3. Now that the technological world has become so enhanced, (and crime so out of control) we humans have became more cautious and afraid to even shake hands with someone. It is truly frightening to the older generation to see this come to this. Speaking or radiohead, I sometimes feel like their song How to disappear completely. "I'm not here. This isn't happening." I want to believe the world hasn't came to this yet but IT HAS. You just want to disappear completely. You want to find that world wear the water flows of such purity and lands so green and lush. Where people come together as one and communicate without worrying about getting a knife to the back. Where a man can have a wife without worrying her cheating on him. Where a woman can have a man without worrying about him having an affair or abusing her or his children. Where children can go to school without worrying about being bullied through internet accounts or worried about being shot or them being the ones behind the gun. Where people like me can go and have fun and hang out with people without worrying if they think I'm a creep. Technology has became so advanced that we depend on it to build our very living foundation on it. To thrive and live and communicate we must surrender ourself to the machines of man. It is like de-evolution. We created these machines. They run our lives. We are simply slaves to a living machine of tech life. It is very scary to think of this but it is happening now. So I guess what I am asking is why? Why can't we go out and meet someone and have simple conversations with them and maintain friendships without a keyboard? Why can't we meet mr right without looking at a computer screen? Why are we so scared to break these machines and live?

The folks over at PS Publishing have just announced that they are doing another set of 'Anniversary' limited editions of two other King books (they already are in the process of making anniversary limiteds of Pet Sematary and Christine), the next two books are Thinner and Skeleton Crew. Artwork for Thinner will be done by Les Edwards and artwork for Crew will be done by Stephen R. Bissette. Doesn't look like they are taking orders as of yet. There's something about The Mist, but it doesn't quite state that there's going to be another limited edition of this title. There is also a first look at one of the illustrations for Pet Semetary, which looks awesome! If you're not on their mailing list yet, you'd better get on board now as the print runs are in the low hundreds for these titles!

From the publisher's email:

Lots of hoo hah . . following last week’s gallery of covers and there are more in the pipeline.

The big news this week is we can confirm that, next year (spring and late winter respectively), we’ll be doing special slipcased Anniversary editions of Stephen King’s THINNER (originally published under the by-line of Richard Bachman) and SKELETON CREW. Stepping up to the plate for artwork chores on THINNER is Les Edwards while multiple Jack Kirby Award-winning comicbook artist Stephen R. Bissette is already going hell-for-leather on colour spreads for SKELETON CREW plus art-headers for each story. And if that isn’t quite enough for you, we’re aiming to include Pete Von Sholly’s storyboards for Frank Darabont’s movie adaptation of THE MIST. We’ll be doing updates on these two as we move along—with details of Introductions, Afterwords and signatures as they’re decided, pretty much the same way we’re treating CHRISTINE and PET SEMATARY . . . talking of which, here’s one of David Gentry’s fabulous spreads for PET SEMATARY

I wonder is anyone has seen this mini-series? It is still in progress as I know, but so far there are already four episodes. The movie is based on a book of my favorite Russian writer, Mikhail Bulgakov. The main part is performed by Daniel Radcliffe. I would never have thought that I would believe he is a Russian doctor in the movie, but he really did a great job, he is an amazing actor, to perform such a difficult part... it takes a lot.

So far, I have watched the first episode, and I can say that it is absolutely hilarious, I have been laughing out loud while watching. Well, in any case, I hardly advise everyone to watch it, it does not take a lot of time, but the movie is done perfectly well. I even have no doubts that I will like the remaining three episodes.

If anyone else has watched it, I would be happy to hear your thoughts, as the movie is about my country, and by one of my most favorite authors.

I am reading a history of the Tudor dynasty, and in a discussion about the history of the White Tower, note is made of one Ranulf Flambard (Ranulf the Torchbringer) who was imprisoned there in the reign of William II, and escaped (execution even) by climbing down a rope smuggled to him inside a wine cask.

Does anyone else find this as strikingly similar to EOTD, with the Ranulf essentially split into two characters: Peter as being imprisoned and escaping down the Tower by a rope, and his brother Thomas who was dubbed "The Lightbringer?"

I can't help but wonder if King knew of this part of English history (I did not, even being fairly well-read on English history) and that it was the inspiration for EOTD.

When you have hypochondria, you become obsessed with the idea that you have a serious or life-threatening disease that hasn't been diagnosed yet. This causes significant anxiety that goes on for months or longer, even though there's no clear medical evidence that you have a serious health problem. Hypochondria is also called hypochondriasis. While having some anxiety about your health is normal, full-blown hypochondria is so consuming that it causes problems with work, relationships or other areas of your life. Severe hypochondria can be completely disabling.Although hypochondria is a long-term condition, you don't have to live your life constantly worrying about your health. Treatment such as psychological counseling, medications or simply learning about hypochondria may help ease your worries.
Definition seems extreme. WebMD can get pretty serious. Big doings. You can get lost on WebMD; it is a trip down the internet rabbit hole.

I have lots of stuff wrong with me way too often. Almost always seem to be something. No dying. I am just generally irritated. Like today, this morning I felt like I had something in my eye. This evening I felt like I had something in my eye. Tonight I felt like I had something in my eye. Finally looked at myself in the mirror. My left eye has a line of odd swelling filling up some of my wrinkles on the right side. Theres a plus there...kinda, sorta. I will head over to the eye doctor down the way from me tomorrow. I got my glasses there--hopefully he'll take a quick look at me. I'll probably wake up tomorrow and the irritation will be gone, My few hours of worrisome gnawing at my peace of mind will be just another shake of the head.

Meanwhile, time for gnawing. I get to come up with questions like this one for myself: What do I do if I lose sight in my left eye? Answer: Look out the right. Thankfully, I know how to medically treat myself with humor. Humor is a life survival tool. You should see some of the pictures the internet can show you when you google "eye infection" and hit images. Well, maybe you shouldn't. The internet rabbit hole is a disturbing place. Who here has not been down the rabbit hole?
