Kentucky already gets a bad rap for so many things, now we have douche bags like this making the news so we'll look even worse. Disgusting.

10 to 1 says he keeps doing the same thing and making good money. Which makes me even madder. :angry_002:

I know of at least one panhandler who will only 'work' (I know right?) from 8:00 to 5:00. And won't 'work' weekends or holidays. Oh, and they'll walk to work carrying a wheelchair, then set it up and sit in it all day. Then when done for the day, just fold it up and walk home.

Meh. Don't feel so bad. I'm sure there are people like him in every single state in the union.
And in every city, and in every neighborhood and I don't care how tony.
I mean ya don't have to be on a city street corner or look like a poor wee crippled up Tiny Tim to be a bona fide 'panhandler', why I've seen some of the best in the business from the finest in zip codes, drinkin' nothin' but top shelf whilst sportin' the latest snazzy in snappy tailored suits, so everybody just slowly back away from the Ky Jelly, The Mighty Bluegrass is just as fine as brotha can ya spare a dime.
A couple few years back, a Cincinnati news "Investigative" whatevers, they followed some of the roadside "Need Help", "Disabled", "Work For Food" type sign holders hangin' by the major high traffic count downtown intersections and such, after they finished their 'shifts'.
They busted a few scumbags scallywaggin' around, and in particular was this middle age(ish) average nice lookin' lady they stealthily filmed walkin' to her swell SUV, and then drivin' to her suburban split level ranch or some such not so low rent, low rent scofflaw, domicile, before they ambushed her...don't recall her being all too repentant neither, but I seem to remember she might have had a bit of a stutter:biggrin2:.
Twas a pretty sweet ride and some seriously kickin' digs even for a full time tin cup professional, is what I'm sayin'...must take an ambitious amount of motivated committed commitment, is what I'm thinkin':eyebrow:...ain't no bidness likes showbidness, is what I be knowin'.

Unfortunately Lily is right. The benefits and fine treatment that is offered to disability victims is a cash crop in the USA with a very easily abused system. Plus, too many Americans give or help without asking questions.

Oh...
'I will give you some of my hard earned dough if you answer a few questions for me, first, do you actually live in despair & squalor and intend to use my dollar to improve your life, to lift you out of any hopelessness you might be feelin' maybe?..second, what brand of orange juice to you like?...well, it's just I won't buy anything but Tropicana, so if you prefer Minute Maid, or gag me with a silver spoon one of those, "off brands", I'm afraid we just can't help you.
Now, about the Baby Jesus.....'

I have no problem giving without asking. If I get screwed over, so be it. The amount of people who truly need help that I do help I'm sure outweighs the bad. There is nothing wrong with wanting to help and I'm certainly not going to grill a poor homeless person on the street to make sure they are on the up and up.

Here's another example of a Horrible Person:

I had a boss who was just about the most politically incorrect boor I've encountered. She thought it was perfectly acceptable and okay to refer to people with (any) Asian ancestry as "gooks". Every other word out of her mouth was "effin'" this or "g*ddamn" that.

I'm not sure what was the most offensive thing about her. I think karma will ultimately bite her on the butt in a huge way: she once admitted she can't stand being around people in wheelchairs, and that she never holds a door open for them in public or helps them out in any way.

You can imagine where my thoughts ran with that.
