The Stand, an HBO/Showtime show......

I have said it a million times, but as I re-read The Stand for the 8th time, I really wish they would make this into a show on HBO or Showtime. Two or three seasons, adding some bonus stories about people not in the book. Update the story a little, it would be amazing. I don't want it on a major network, they cancel those shows if it doesnt have 5 billion people watching. Look at shows like Boardwalk Empire, Dexter, Wire, etc. Great shows, add The Stand to that.

lol, ok well the fact that I am a moron does not change the fact that The Stand would be great. Maybe not as good as The Sand, but one can dream....
