Today here in Finland on the afternoon one 10-year-old girl died  and 2 others one riding teacher and
another 10-year-old girl was badly injured when a manege/riding hall's roof collapsed. I watched
the news and then start to think how it must have felt for those who was inside when the roof gave in.
They didn't talk about what happened to the horses so I really don't know. But my wild guess is that some of them
probably died. They said that the heavy snow on the roof was reason to the collapses.
Rescue team still search if they find other people that could have been inside and can still be trapped. But in the news
they only talk about these couple of people. Just don't know if it's so important I just wanted to let you know.....

Oh, Johanna....that is so sad. It makes me feel awful for the girl and horses - they were terrified right before they died, and that's no way to go. I sure hope there are survivors if there are people still trapped in there, although something tells me they'll find bodies instead of smiles.

Thank you for sharing it with us. I think it is awful that such things happen due to the weather conditions. Here in Russia we also have such things very often. Just a few days ago I heard on the news that an icicle fell down from the roof right when there was a woman with a baby in a carriage, the baby got badly hurt, fortunately, he is alive, but got some bad head injury... And these things happen every year here, often babies die... That is horrible  And all these accidents could be prevented by just taking goo care of the snow on the roofs, it they cleaned it in time, people would not get hurt.

OK. They not told much information last night after it happened. But got more this morning via radio and in the news paper. Two was badly
injured the riding teacher and the 10 year old girl. But they survive. Another 13 year old also got some injuries but not very bad then there was
another kid who also got some injuries but not bad. And then this 10 year old who died. So it was 5 people in riding hall when the roof collapsed.
They had just began the riding lessons. Two horses died and two others survived. Rescue team didn't find any other in the hall so it was only
these five and four horses. The riding hall was 20-year- old and now it can take up to a week when they start to investigate what was the
reason to the collapses. They still think it was the heavy snow but want to be sure cause a young life was lost because of this. I really hope everyone
start to take most of the snow down of the roof so this such of tragedy wont happen again. I can't image how it must have felt for the parents who lost
their little girl. They drove her to the riding school so she can learn to ride, but couldn't believe when they left her to the stable that it's the last time
that they see her alive. Make me sad to think of it.
