I scored a hardback copy of Misery (plus two other SK books, all for about $8, can I get a woot woot!) this weekend at my favorite local thrift store, and I guess I'd never seen the Misery jacket before, because there's no way I would have forgotten the most hilarious author photo I have ever seen. (Sure hope he was trying to be funny ... HAHAHAHAHA ...) He looks like a less buttoned-down version of Ron Swanson.

Or, like he's thinking about selling someone a Bassomatic.

Then, of course, there's this "author photo" from Misery:

Oh. Em. Gee.

HAHAHAHAHA ... The best "cameo" ever, in the same book! This novel has now become a prized possession. And to think I almost bypassed it because of a few little rips in the dust jacket.

I read Misery in 8th grade, and since I didn't have money to buy it, I borrowed it from the library. That's the picture that was on the back, and I drew it one day when I was really bored (it ended up getting thrown it, I wish I still had it!). I agree, it is quite funny ;-D
