Id like to ask Mr. Joe Hill what kind of school he and his bother/sister(s)
went to. I just finished:The Waste Lands , Which has very vivid
descriptions of : The Piper School . It is a safe assumption to say that
Mr. King did not attend any school remotely like it when he was young.
\Im thinking that Sai King , 'knew' about such schools because he was
sending his kids (or had sent) to such an institution , ...and Mr. King
wasn't digg'n it... I believe Mr. King would have little in common, with
the vast majority of the other parents in such a school that was
anything like Piper

I believe King had the idea for Jake and Piper , back when he was...
like 19, but didn't start writing the actual book, until he had Kids of
his own...kids that went to a school not unlike Piper
and I believe that such a school would grate against Mr. Kings
Nerves ...Grate hard ,and against the grain, do Ya' ken

I do not expect an answer from Mr. Hill...but I can dream of
the day when he and some others might come here
and talk to us.

Naomi and Joe graduated from Milton Academy (a prep school although Joe attended at least one year at John Bapst High School in Bangor) and Owen graduated from Bangor High School (a public high school).

I'm gonna toss in a recommendation for Owen King's first book, We're All In This Together, which is terrific. It's a collection consisting of a novella and several short stories. The novella is great, and at least two of the short stories are even better. It's a very funny book, with excellent characters; Owen's style is nothing like Stephen's, or even like Joe's, but that's okay, because he's got plenty of his own to spare.

Sounds the Kings have pretty normal lives.

Must be difficult to be a writer with such a famous father. You know they must hear that they got a break all the time with being published I have yet to read either of them, but plan to. :smile2:

Yeah I am hoping to see more from Owen, he is a really good writer and does seem totally different from Joe and Steve's styles.

Joe Hill is pretty in touch with his fans, your best bet is through Twitter.
