I just finished The Stand after reading it a long time ago (years) and I don't know if I missed it somewhere at the end, but what happened to Kojak when they got back? Did it just not mention him again after their return to the hospital? It didn't say that he went with Stu and Fran to Maine? Sorry if I missed it somewhere but Kojak went thru a lot and I wanted an ending for him :) thanks a lot

Kojack saves Stu when he gets injured, remember? Then Tom Cullen finds them and takes them both back to Boulder. It is stated that Kojack outlives his master (Glen Bateman) by 16 years so Kojack has a nice long life in Boulder afterwards.

Your recollection is correct. Kojak isn't mentioned again after Stu gets back.

Thanks guys. I do remember now about the 16 yrs. I guess I was just looking for a specific closing for him. If I was Stu, I wouldn't have let him out of my site after what he did. lol! I appreciate it. I knew I could get my answer on the board :smile2:

Yes, that was it! I think it was an Irish Setter. Kojack was partly setter?
