View Full Version : Women-centric: How many of you have renegade armpit hairs?

I'm wondering how many of you have had the experience of shaving your underarms and getting one hair that is so much longer than the others that either it's a mutant hair that suddenly sprouted OR (more likely) it's a hair you've somehow missed with your razor for weeks? And if you do this, do you immediately get paranoid that you've inadvertently left a jungle in there?

I had to go with the "Uh no" option but it's really not accurate - I'm just naturally hairless. I can go weeks without shaving my legs - and I can wear skirts during it!

This is so way too much information.

Nope, that hasn't happened yet...now it probably will, though. :y:

I do get annoyed that every couple of months I suddenly have an extra long hair that appears in my left eyebrow. It sprouts out from nowhere, overnight! And I look after my eyebrows, damnit, so where the heck does it come from?? :dunno:

I voted "Uh, no...." BUT I must disclose the fact that I don't see very well without my glasses. So, it is entirely possible that at some point in time, I missed one, it grew, eventually got shaved, and was washed down the drain without ever being noticed. Excuse me now, I'm going to have my husband check me for rogue ear hairs.

...I'm just plain eccentric, but allow me to crash the sleep-over and say, they're not "renegades" as you put it, they are a hairy junta-hell bent on occupying your axillae AND sending covert missions to the South of your "equator"....

Me too. For real. But I do shave my under arms every day because when I was growing up my step-sister didn't and it really stressed me out. So even if nothing's there it's gone anyway! Hey, it's exfoliation!

I am one of these people who have no body hair, except on my head. I have never shaved my legs or pits..there is simply no hair there. Yeah, yeah....all ye girls want to smother me with a pillow.

No, we don't want to kill you. But we need to isolate the gene responsible so we can clone it. I think you should donate your body to science.

Ha ha it does seem that there's always a hair that gets missed,( then grows to monster mutant proportions) whether on your ankle or on your armpit. Especially when it's morning and your eyes are barely open!!!

Well then, dang. I'm all feeling like I'm Sasquatch. I shave my legs every other day because I don't like the feel of stubble, but you can't see it well with the naked eye. I'm pretty fair when it comes to hair and I'm not all that hirsute. Pits? It's slow-growing there. I guess I shave every week, maybe every 6 days.

And no, I don't get renegade hairs.

When that renegade appears I am totally WTH? (and secretly wishing for a giraffe neck so I can check myself more *ahem* thoroughly)

I have renegade knee hairs. I can shave 3 or 4 times and STILL miss them!

I am not super hairy, I mean, I am significantly more hairy than I would like to be, but in the scheme of if my husband is on one end of really hairy and a baby is on the other end, I'm probably somewhere in the low end of middle. (My husband is crazy hairy, buuuut it's soft and not all gross and coarse and curly so it doesn't bother me. Sorry, Todash. That might have been too much share time.)

I am however very pale and my hair is very dark and thick. Apparently a good head of hair means you have to make other sacrifices.

If I could afford lazer hair removal I would be in there in a flash is what I'm saying.

I usually shave when I feel like it's time for that. But yes sometimes when I shave I miss
most of the hair and have to start all over again. Especially when I shave my legs.

I had a renagade hair come out of the middle of my neck one time. I was about 17, so what's up with that. Finally someone told me.. I say wah? and I could tug on it. Thank god it was blonde. I swear, if I was a man I would have a full beard and stash. Shaving errr. Wait a minute, maybe I would if I did not have to take care of that stuff...

I don't have anything against women who don't de-hair--I think it's weird that society tries to force women to look in various ways both younger and older than they are--buuut I hate the feeling of hairy pits. So shaving it is.

The second question is a two-parter: hossenpepper, you obviously expected "fun"...are you saying you were painfully surprised by an uninvited flaming butt hair, and how much fun is it?

I think it's time for you guys to start your own poll. Butt hairs (on their own body) aren't something most women have to worry about and are definitely off-topic. :smile2:
