The Mist just started reading it

Just started reading The Mist , All I can say i this its one hell of a short story and its better than the movie, The characters are realistically portrayed no magical powers or superhuman strenght just a normal being living their day to day lives until a mysterious mist engulf their town,

I just started reading it as well. It is quite amazing, my friend. I loved the movie but so far the story seems like it's gonna put the movie adaption to shame. It's also Very realistic so far as I have actually encountered many power outages in my day (I live in the county)as well as some pretty hardcore weather. (Was once taking refuge from a tornado in my best friend's shed) I like how he describes how David has the dream of God and all around the destructive fires of what he sees as his living place is smothered in a mysterious mist...Prophecy? Visions? Insanity? Guess I'll just have to keep on reading!!! :smile_002:

The Mist is my favorite SK short story thus far! Stephen has mentioned that he had wished he had thought of the ending as portrayed in the movie, but I find Stephen's ending to be perfect. I enjoy the ambiguity of the story and do not mind the unanswered questions.
