Monday night I watched The Mist and I was wondering if the will ever be a part 2 ? I really enjoyed this movie and I do hope it's with the same actors.

No, not necessarily. The ones who stayed in the store were alive last time we checked. The stand-ins with the flamethrowers survived, we, via the symbolic meaning of flamethrowers, are to understand.

The end I really didn't understand. Why didn't they just stay in the truck a little longer and hear the rivalry before dad shot everyone and be saved?

The end of this movie made me want to punch somebody. I am not saying it was a poor ending. Story-wise, it was excellent. But it still made me want to punch somebody.
