Okay, kids....thought I'd start one for Chattery Teeth.

I helped a friend decorate his Christmas tree a long time ago and pulled out an ornament that made me drop it and recoil. It was the creepiest elf you've ever seen in your life. I know it was intended to look cute, but I found it to be anything but. I know I'll take heat for this because I'm sure there some collectors among the folks here....so take your best shot. It's an Annalee elf ornament. They're felted ornaments and dolls and free-standing decorations, and they are beloved by many.

Here's a link to the online Annalee gallery: http://www.annaleegallery.com/annalee-elf-dolls/;
...and a picture of what I saw:

But while you're forking me the evil eye, post a note (and accompanying pic, if you can locate one) about the creepiest Christmas decoration(s) you've ever seen.

This isn't really a decoration, but the Santa from the movie "The City of Lost Children" is one of the scarier ones I've seen...

They look like Dickensian incarnations of the fellow in "The Scream" by Edvard Munch. I know they're supposed to look like they're singing, but dang.

No, I get what bugs you there Lily. Dang. I can see why it's supposed to be cute, but it just doesn't work for me. I don't know why, but I don't like it either.

...our little town has become known at this time of year as the "Dickens Victorian Village"...these figures(which line the downtown streets and a good many shop windows) bring in tour groups from all over, whilst most of the locals-yours ever so truly included-think they look like a bunch of escapees from a burn ward-creeopo-mucho...

I think every tree needs a Chthulhu ornament, a leering man-in-the-moon, and a squalling newborn hanging from it.

These photographs are HILARIOUS. Thanks for sharing!
