What about piercings? I have 8 myself. I'm sure I'll get more, but for now it's: 5 holes in my right ear, one in my left, a nose ring, and an eyebrow piercing. I'd love to get my navel done again, along with a somewhat more intimate piercing. NOT the down-below, oh my god, but it would still be tender!
So come on, fess up, how many pierced-up baddies are out there? :biggrin2:

I only have the usual two; one in each ear. I never had a desire to have more and I could never even think about a piercing on or anywhere near the down-below!
And may you have twice the number.

Intentionally pierced, I'm only supposin':eyebrow:?
:biggrin2:
Hmmm, then you can put that number at three, two left earlobe, one right, but I've really only worn the same little silver yin/yang in my left ear for the last ten years or so.
(I give a good poke into the other two holes on a regular basis though, I mean a boy just never knows when he's gonna feel the need to feel pretty:rolleyes:)

Seven....four in my left ear and three in my right. I never change the earrings - just take 'em out and clean 'em and put 'em back in. Doesn't really matter anyway as my hair covers them. Stupid to have seven earrings that nobody sees...but then, I have them for me, so I guess it doesn't really matter! I've never had the desire to pierce anything else - as I stated in the tattoo thread, I'm not a fan of pain, and just thinking about peircing anything in the "down-below" makes me a little nauseus!!! :oo:

Besides the regular earrings, I have one more in each ear, and 2 others on my left ear (one in the cartilage, the other one in the "tragus", the little hard thing in the front part of the ear), a nose ring (used to have 2, one beside the other, but one got badly infected after I had a flu and had to blow my nose often, then it had to go out).
I've thought about the "down below" one, but I don't think it's a good idea... For many reasons: first, the piercer. I wouldn't feel comfortable showing that much f myself to someone I dont really know... specially if it's a guy, and the second, for healing/higiene matters... But I really want to get my nipples pierced, I just have to know if they interfere with breast-feeding.

I have the usual ears, three in left two in right. nose ring. used to have a navel piercing but my preggo belly pushed that one out! I even had the extender to keep the navel piercing open when I got really big, but it was so itchy, I just took it out. I like the cheek piercings, maybe someday!
@suzana...I've heard that nipple piercings do not interfere with breast feeding, but like anything, it could be different for everyone.

Not any more. My body hates them. I wish it didn't because I liked having them. I've have the regular ear piercings about 4 times. I've had "snake bites" (one on each side of the bottom lip). Those ended up being ripped out because of the size of my lip and having to wear bars instead of hoops for work. They were the only ones that weren't rejected...but alas.
My favorite was a vertical industrial piercing in my ear. It went through the back of my ear at the top and bottom and the bar was visible on the inside of my ear. Then I had another one going through the back of the same ear on the side and he wrapped it around the vertical bar and it had a little diamond on the end of it. I tried to keep it for almost two year and it still wasn't healing right so I finally gave up...I miss it though.

Just my ears.
I would never do it, but I think corset piercing is very pretty. I've heard there are quite a few problems with infections though, and I couldn't imagine doing anything other than standing with them in.

There's a lot of problems with infection with anything (piercing or tattoo) that gets covered with clothing before healing. Plus you can't really reach them so you would have to have a diligent friend to help you out with that. I know a few who have them and once they heal you get used to the sensation pretty quickly.

I don’t have piercings anymore but at one point in my life I had the cartilage in my left ear pierced, my eyebrow pierced and my tongue pierced.
I liked them all for quite a while but then I decided to get rid of them. I like the way I look better without them. I don’t regret getting them. The experience was well… was quite an experience! :smile2:

Okay... about corset piercings... usually they are just done for an event, frequently in the BDSM community. I've known folks who did it for an event and at the end of the night, every loop was pulled out and the area cleaned, smeared with Polysporin and bandaged up with Bandaids. Very few folks go permanent with that kind.
I would have loved to get piercings but I went with the tattoos because piercings have a heal time that is too long for me. I had wanted to get my nips, hood, and eyebrows done. (Sorry Marsha...) I used to have my ear lobes pierced when I was a kid, but I let those heal over a long time ago.

Once, while assembling furniture frames at a part-time job, my gun misfired and I put a 3 inch staple through my left hand... does that count?

LOL… No. It was a family owned business, and when it happened I was told… You’re family, and you’ve got to set a good example for the workers… so just pull it out, wrap it up, and get back to work. Which is exactly what I did, although when I pulled it out and the blood squirted out hitting the ceiling, I just about fainted. Ahhh, the good old days when men were men and women were glad of it.
(but I did go to the hospital the next day because I had bone fragments that had splintered in the hand)

5 piercings here. Bellybutton, tongue, eyebrow and both ears. I recently took the tongue and eyebrow piercings out, the tongue piercing was chipping my teeth as I had a bad habit of chewing on the jewellery :eek2: in my sleep and I had a really hard time finding someone that would wax my eyebrows with the jewellery in. I did love them though!

The only piercings I have, and probably will ever have, is in my ears! I have 3 holes in each ear. Got the first ones done when I was 12, and the other ones, just happened when I felt like it! Never thought about piercing anything else! :)

People have gotten really creative with them- doing DNA helixes, using different kinds of ribbons and closures to make their design, using the rings to make shapes. I can't explain it, I just like to look at them. :dunno:
I hear ya on the nipple piercing, whenever it comes up in conversation, I have to whisper to my girls that I love them and they will be okay! lol

I love reading about everyone's piercings as much as I love seeing people with piercings, especially slightly unusual ones (as long as they're healed cos I'm squeemish). I only have 3 in each ear lobe, done between the ages of 11, 15, and 29. I have always thought about getting piercings in other places but I know they're much more painful in other places and I struggled enough through the healing of the ears as they took about 6 months each. I really like the look of the subdermal piercings and you have so much more choice of where to have them. If pain was no object I'd get all the way up the ear, side of the nose, and cheek.
Since I discovered tattoos are not as painful as piercings and heal within a few days I think that's all I'll be getting from now on :)

I have 2 holes in my right earlobe, one in the left, my tongue is pierced as is my left nipple. I had my lip and navel pierced in high school but they're both gone. Also have a tattoo between my shoulders, my hip, my wrist and a half sleeve on my left arm. I think I'm done with piercing, but have about 8 more individual tattoos planned as well as a half sleeve fore my other arm.
